Hemp is one of the planet’s most efficient carbon sequesters, able to absorb 1.63 tons of CO2e for every ton grown; it’s one of the fastest growing plants on Earth, going from seed to maturity in 3-4 months and hence a full life cycle within one growing season; and it’s hardy, able to tolerate weather extremes and grow with very little water, making it suitable even in drought prone areas.
